Purely Puppy Pleasure

One of the highlights of my recent trip to Napa for some wine tasting was getting to visit a brand new litter of CCI puppies. (Santa Rosa is the breeding HQ for Canine Companions for Independence; so all litters are born with 90 minutes of the center, at various breeder/caretakers' homes).

The "G" litter's Momma is Keara a lovely golden retriever and proud Pappa is Terrence - a stunning black lab that only throws blacks.
The result = an all black litter for the lovely golden Momma.

They refer to this litter as the "G-Force" (clever)
The pups were only a week old at my visit but oh so very cute...don't you think!
Eyes still closed, ears still sealed. Only about a pound in weight.

Now it has me thinking, should I take on puppy #6 this August when I have to turn in Francie? Oh, it so hard to resist . . . . yet so hard to imagine as I really was thinking of taking a well deserved break.

But then -seeing these babies...ooh it would be so fun having met him/her while this young, to then go on and raise that very puppy.

Just so precious.

It sounds like you have a case of "puppy fever!" I've seen it before and it's pretty contagious--I have the same thing, except it happens when I see an old dog!
